Senior CPQ Technical Consultant

Job Description

Time Shift : 2 PM - 12 AM

We are seeking an experienced Senior CPQ Technical Consultant to lead the design, development, and deployment of robust CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions for enterprise clients.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, or SAP CPQ, along with a solid understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes.

As a technical lead and subject matter expert, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions that align with client goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead CPQ technical design, configuration, customization, and implementation projects.
  2. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable CPQ solutions.
  3. Mentor and guide junior developers and consultants.
  4. Own and deliver technical documentation including solution architecture, integration design, and data mapping.
  5. Implement and optimize complex pricing rules, discounting structures, product bundling, and quote workflows.
  6. Integrate CPQ platforms with CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics), ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and payment/order management systems.
  7. Drive code reviews, technical quality assurance, and solution performance tuning.
  8. Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and project managers to ensure delivery success.
  9. Stay updated on CPQ product features, best practices, and industry trends.

Required Skills

  1. Experience: 6–15 years in IT, with at least 5+ years of hands-on CPQ implementation experience.
  2. CPQ Expertise: Proficient in one or more platforms — Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ (BigMachines), SAP CPQ, Apttus/Conga CPQ.
  3. QTC Knowledge: Deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, including product modeling, pricing logic, approvals, and quote generation.
  4. Programming/Scripting: Apex (Salesforce), BML (Oracle CPQ), JavaScript, XML, SQL.
  5. Integration Skills: API integration (REST/SOAP), middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and data migration.
  6. Leadership: Ability to lead technical teams and manage client expectations.
  7. Methodologies: Proficient in Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
  8. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
